But while Mr. Bond lives fast and dangerous life in the screen, the Bollinger house and its famous champagnes became symbols of a quite slower and traditional but none the less elegant lifestyle. The venture established by three young men, Monsieur Bollinger, Renaudin and de Villermont, has 160 hectares plantation, its 83% is located in Grand and Premier Cru area. The most important component of their champagnes is pinot noir which gives backbone, tightness, complexity to the basic wine. Maybe that is why Bond, James Bond likes the Bollinger champagnes very much.
