In the world of Champagne unquestionably the most famous lady is still Madame Clicquot, who after her husband's early death - in the beginning of 19th century in an entirely unusual way - took over the leadership of Veuve Clicquot champagne house. Thanks to her excellent business sense, commitment to quality and openness to technological innovation she built up one of the most excellent and in the best style company. During the centuries many things have changed, the vine-lands of the house increased to 328 ha which can be found in 400 different fields. But there is one thing which has been unchanged since 1772: in Champagne the Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin is the symbol of style and creativity in its quality and appearance as well.
