The components are similar to the very good 2006, but the 2007 version is denser and better structured. Gere Kopár 2007 is still in its youth but is already getting to be approachable but will go on gaining complexity for many years to come. It was aged in 225 litre oak barrels for 16 months but the wood is already completely integrated. It's got everything going for it from exuding intense blackcurrant and other black fruit as well as notes of dark chocolate, to huge body, to a velvety structure marked by supple tannins and robust acidity that will help it age gracefully for years. It will have had about a year in the bottle by the time it reaches you.

Rich, full and harmonious. A classic blend of around half Merlot, with the other half coming from the two Cabernets. Aged for 16 months in 225 litre Hungarian oak, and then for eight months in the bottle.
