Components: merlot 42%, cabernet sauvignon 26%, cabernet franc 22%, syrah 10%
Fermentation: tank, wild yeasts.
Ageing: 17 months in 225 litre new Bordeaux-style oak barrels. (French 97%, American 3%), fined, unfiltered.
Date of bottling: May 2009.
Style: deep-toned, profound depth of colour, clean, intensive, long, fiery and ripe. Full of character, serious tannins, multi-layered and delicious, though tight as it is at the beginning of a long and wonderful life, and recently bottled.
Acid content: 5.8 g/l
Alcohol content: 15.0%
