It was the grandson of the house’s founder who first made Blanc de Blancs champagnes at the house, which later became a tradition and have been available again since 2018. With the blend, the house sought to show Charles Heidsieck-style notes through one single variety, Chardonnay. 75% comes from one harvest (among them from the wines of Oger, Vertus), 25% is made up of reserve wine with an average age of five years. It was aged on the lees for more than four years. It’s complex and deep, bringing the infinite freshness of the variety and the sort of silky texture that defines all the blends of the house. A plethora of aromas on the nose: white-fleshed peach, citrus fruit, honeysuckle and fresh hazelnut. The finish is harmonious and surprisingly mineral, with salty notes.
