The Piper-Heidsieck Vintage Brut 2014 Magnum is one of the winery’s most important champagnes, and in 2025, it won the 'Supreme World Champion' award at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championship, being named the best sparkling wine in the world.
The 2014 vintage bottled in magnum proved to be the best not only in its category but also among all the entered traditional method sparkling wines.
It is based on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a total of 19 carefully selected vineyards, including Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites. It was released after at least 5 years of lees aging, followed by an additional 12 months of bottle ageing. The dosage is 7 g/l and its style is pure and dry.
The nose reveals citrus, apricot, brioche and subtle almond notes. The palate is fresh, lively and well-structured, accompanied by mandarin, lime zest and a hint of spice. The bubbles are fine and elegant, with a long and pure finish.
The magnum bottle further highlights the wine’s balance and maturity. It is already very beautiful, but additional bottle ageing could reveal even more.
