The rosé of the historical champagne house with a glorious past is based on the well-proportioned blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The former is selected from the vineyards of Montagne de Reims and the latter from the vineyards of the Côte des Blancs. Both varieties are pressed in whole bunches immediately after being harvested, thus the final colour is not achieved by skin contact, but by the blending in of red wine, by using the assemblage method. The colouring wine is Pinot Noir in all cases, and it comes from the direct vicinity of the estate, from the Meurtet vineyard. After the blending comes bottle fermentation, followed by three years of ageing on the lees. Disgorging is followed by a further six months of ageing, when already in its final form.
An almost orange-salmon colour, a delicate mousse, with strawberry and redcurrant. It beautifully shows the style of the house: it’s precise, light and subtle, with silky bubbles.
This special edition of Deutz’s rosé was inspired by the Japanese cherry blossom. A limited release that comes in a gift box.
