Adrien's classic entry-level champagne, ‘Dans un Premier Temps’ (in English: ‘First of All’), a blend from the estate's key areas of the villages of Cuis, Avenay and Sézanne. The fruit from nearly 45-year-old vines was blended in the base wine with 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier. Spontaneous fermentation and malolactic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks and in used French barrels. At bottling, 30% reserve wine from the 2020 vintage was blended in, aged since 1986 in an old barrel in the family's cellar. This contributes greatly to the mature character and deep flavours, full of stone fruits and yeasty notes, even in the estate's entry-level champagne.
