The base of the 2009 Dom Pérignon Rosé is provided by 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay, which means it is supplemented with 13% more red wine than in the previous vintage, for which the grapes were harvested from the vineyards of the Hautvilliers, Aÿ and Bouzy villages.
In any case, Dom Pérignon Rosé ages longer than its white counterpart. It was no different in the 2009 vintage either, it was disgorged in April 2022 after 12 years of ageing. After the more ethereal 2008 Rosé, they returned to a richer, fuller style in 2009. The palate has cherry, blood orange, pomegranate, liquorice, hibiscus, dried white flowers, toasty and brioche aromas, complemented by subtly smoky notes. The palate is full-bodied, broad, rich and endlessly long. Dosage: 5 g/l.
