Since Ernest Henriot, the Brut Souverain has been produced permanently, giving the stable foundation of the house, yet most people identify the name with its pure Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs. The grapes come from Premier and Grand Cru villages, from chalk soil. It is supplemented with 30-40% of reserve wine every year, and is made with five years of bottle ageing. Precise and lively aromas, citrus, stoniness, subtle toasty notes, creaminess, deep flavours, power and richness on the palate.
