Laurent-Perrier very rarely makes vintage champagne. The market average shows three out of four years bring vintage champagne, while the Laurent-Perrier champagne house announces less than one every two years. The Millésimé is the champagne of an exceptional vintage, which shows the blend of selected Chardonnay and Pinot Noir raw materials coming from grand crus of the selected vintage. It aims to show the vintage’s character in the style of Laurent-Perrier. It’s made only from the best plots, with the Chardonnay coming from the Côte des Blancs and the Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims.
The year 2008 was characterised by a cold but not a severe winter, plus cloudiness and rain. The harvest started in the middle of September, in dry and cold conditions, which provided perfect circumstances for healthy grapes. The excellent-quality grapes already had outstanding aromas with the promise of an exceptional vintage.

A white-gold colour with a lovely shine. Mineral and limestone notes implying the place of growth on the nose, grapefruit and white fruit aromas. The palate is lively, deep and fresh. The finish is long and bitter with notes of orange and lemon.
The style of the wine region’s 4th largest Champagne house is characterised by freshness, precision and elegant structure. The management of the house is still carried out within the family circle, with the involvement of Michel Fauconenet, chef de cave, who has been working at the estate for 40 years.
