“Mix the best with the best to get the best”
Three vintages that were considered truly outstanding by Laurent-Perrier, which were selected for their complementary characters: one gives the structure of the wine, the other its complexity and fruitiness, the third its freshness. The idea came from a simple observation: nature doesn’t provide a perfect year from a winemaking point of view, but through the art of blending and with the help of reserve wines Laurent-Perrier can do that.
The composition of Grand Siècle is based on 3 principles that have become unchangeable by today:
N°25 2008 (65%), 2007 (25%), 2006 (10%):
Chardonnay 60%, Pinot Noir 40%
9 Grands Crus:
Aging: 12 years on lees.
Dosage: 7 grams/litre.
Its shine is given by its elegant bubbles. The intense and complex nose gently evokes candied fruit, followed by the appearing aromas of fresh cakes, roast almonds, then honey or gingerbread. The palate is round and sophisticated, it brings the feeling of completeness, while its gentle mousse surprises the drinker with its zesty freshness. Power and sophistication are in perfect harmony on the palate.
2008: the 2008 vintage is famous for its structure, and the richness of aromas of the excellent quality Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs.
2007: the vintage is known for its freshness, the Chardonnays are complex with the aromas of white fruit and citrus fruit, while the Pinot Noirs are fruity with the dominance of yellow fruits.
2006: the vintage is known for its elegance, the Chardonnays and the Pinot Noirs are rich and complex with red fruit aromas.

The style of the wine region’s 4th largest Champagne house is characterised by freshness, precision and elegant structure. The management of the house is still carried out within the family circle, with the involvement of Michel Fauconenet, chef de cave, who has been working at the estate for 40 years.
