The legendary maison, established in 1785, has stood the test of time: a supplier to royal households and a favourite of Marilyn Monroe, it has become a cornerstone of Champagne. Its blends, made with meticulous precision, using a high proportion of réserve wines, have elevated the house to among the greatest. Essentiel Cuvée is a blend of the three main grape varieties sourced from over 50 vineyards: 44% Pinot Noir, 34% Pinot Meunier and 22% Chardonnay. It undergoes at least three years of ageing on fine lees and has a low dosage (4 g/l). Structure, balance and freshness characterise this champagne, with classic notes of brioche, grapefruit and plum, complemented by hints of quince compote and nutty almond undertones. It is the pure essence of the house's signature style.
