The base wine comes from 20 selected premier cru and grand cru places of growth. Made by blending 60% of Pinot Noir and 40% of Chardonnay in a limited quantity and aged for more than five years in the cellars of Pol Roger. Its complex nose starts with rose, floral and fresh notes, followed by pastry, dried seeds, honey and minerality. It’s a round, softly sparkling and creamily sophisticated example from the 2015 vintage.
