The legendary Extra Brut Extra Old, fourth edition. Made from reserve base wines from the most outstanding vintages between 1996 and 2014. The varietal composition is almost identical to what Madame Clicquot preferred from the start: 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Meunier. Aged on the lees for 3 years with bottle ageing. Low dosage: 3 g/l. A distinctive character, with fresh, floral and perfumed aromas. On the palate, citrus-driven energy with notes of grapefruit, ginger and pear. Lean, taut minerality with a finish of the familiar aged, toasty notes.
