In 2004, Gál Tibor Sr. identified a ‘grand cru’ site in the heart of Szilágyság, near the village of Kárásztelek, where today Carassia traditional method sparkling wines are crafted using the most modern technology. This vintage magnum rosé from the outstanding 2018 vintage is a blend with a Chardonnay backbone, complemented by Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, from the Tóka vineyard surrounding the estate, and was aged for 5 years on fine lees. It opens beautifully with aromas of cherry and subtle spiciness. On the palate, it reveals refreshing flavours, creamy bubbles and a well-balanced structure. This is a refined and serious sparkling rosé, with layered nuances reminiscent of the Provençal style.
