In 1860, in Emilia-Romagna, Cleto Chiarli founded one of the region’s most important wineries – where whether it is wine or balsamic vinegar, everything is handled with humble expertise and precise craftsmanship. The bottle and label were designed based on a surviving 1892 Chiarli Lambrusco, highlighting the commitment to tradition. The local variety used for it – Lambrusco di Sorbara – is harvested north of Modena, and is known for its lighter colour, more floral character and pronounced acidity.
After a short maceration, it was fermented slowly at a low temperature in pressurised tanks, then filtered and bottled with a small amount of residual sugar. A dark rosé colour, aromas of ripe strawberry, a lively mousse and a dry palate. Open it well chilled, confidently, with a firm motion.
