Previously featured in the Tokaj roundup

Tokaj changes constantly. The vineyards, the weather and the winemakers show something different every year. 2011 was a warm year and 2012 was even hotter. Both vintages favoured red wines: only minimal plant protection was necessary and complex, dense, fiery wines were created. 2011 was almost a perfect vintage according to István Balassa. We often say that Tokaj wines age well. Now we’ve re-tasted a few wines from the previous vintages and selected 11 that have really developed nicely throughout the years.
