This tonic is made with natural Marula and spring water. The Marula tree (Sclerocarya birrea) is a tall, deciduous tree with a wide-spreading crown and characteristic grey-mottled bark. The fruit of the tree – which is about the size of a plum and is hand-harvested – has a yellowish colour when ripe and its stone contains the useful oil that locals have being using for cooking and also for everyday skincare. This is not surprising as the cold-pressed oil of this delicious fruit contains four times as much vitamin C as an orange and about 60% more antioxidants than argan oil.

Complemented with mint leaves, a refreshing gin and tonic can be made with it.
