Our favourite non-alcoholic taste sensation from Beaujolais is l’Antidote, which is a blend of cider, vermouth and sparkling wine flavours in one bottle, without alcohol. Officially described as pétillant de jus de fruit et plantes, it is a sparkling drink based on fruit juice and herbs. It contains Gamay grape juice from Beaujolais, combined with apple, spices, citrus, ginger, sage, thyme and St. John’s wort. Balanced, subtly sparkling and explosively flavourful. The spices balance the sweetness with their tartness. The aromas are a mix of cinnamon, clove, apple compote, thyme and mint.
