A total of 20% quince was enough for one of Budaprés’ most exciting ciders, and it can still be felt very intensively alongside the 80% Idared and Jonagold base, and compared to previous year’s, the overall picture is even more lively. Skin contact lasted for a total of two full days again, followed by pressing, and after fermentation, it was aged for 10 months. This made it even more layered, more distinctive, with a cool and minty scent.
All fruits are picked and selected by hand.
The concept and the processing are exactly the same as with wine, but the outcome is a pure and fresh cider. Compared to the English and French styles, Budaprés cider has a livelier nose, but the palate and the flavours are just as complex. From 2022, all the bottles are made in their own cellar in Etyek.
