The Gróf Degenfeld Verjus is made from grapes selected from the 40-year-old vines of the Ugar vineyard, which has strips of limestone. In the spring of 2024, an early warm spell led to the vines budding about two weeks earlier than average. In early August, unripe, healthy grape clusters were picked, two weeks ahead of the main harvest. After gentle pressing, the juice was placed in steel tanks and then was later bottled without sulphur or pasteurization. The aromas include notes of green apple, pear, with hints of the Furmint and Hárslevelű varieties. Exceptionally fresh and delicate on the palate, it can be enjoyed as a spritzer or on its own!
