The owners of the distillery, Marnus and Rossouw Kruger, are third generation citrus fruit farm owners in South Africa. They wanted to make a special drink, so they fermented the lemon itself for the alcohol, then distilled it twice with the juniper berries. It’s a special, subtly bitter, elegant drink with a surprisingly dry palate.
