In 2016, two friends from Hamburg decided to start making their own gin. And the figure they chose to be associated with the name and appearance of the distillery was none other than a famous German sailor, Knut Hansen.

Sustainability has always been an important aspect for them, which forms the basis of all their processes, from the selection of ingredients to the packaging. Almost without exception, the ingredients – such as apples, rose petals, basil and cucumbers – come from regions close to the distillery. The gin is made in small batches and distilled four times, the aromas of the already mentioned ingredients are complemented by citrus notes on the nose. On the palate the juniper character of dry gin is coupled with apple, citrus, cucumber and basil.
