This special gin has arrived from the Irish town of Drumshanbo. The master distiller and founder of The Shed distillery, PJ Rigney, likes pushing the boundaries of artisanal drinks and works with special, unusual plants. For this idea, he looked for a wild and desolate region where he could boldly experiment with the naturally growing relatives of grain, as well as wild and exotic plants. This gin contains 12 different botanicals that PJ Rigney discovered during his own travels, such as: Macedonian juniper, Indian cumin seed, Moroccan Orris root and the most unique, a Chinese green tea (gunpowder tea). He discovered the latter during a Moroccan tea ceremony, during which small balls were rolled from the leaves, which had a profound effect on him. The ‘jackalope’ that appears on the label symbolizes a mysterious creature, a cross between a rabbit and an antelope, which, according to legend, appears in a thunderstorm and disappears immediately, like in a dream. The gin has spicy and citrusy aromas, while the palate is soft and full of oriental spices and tea notes.
