The distillery is located in the town of Rothes, in the heart of Speyside, and has been involved in whisky production since the early 1900s. Over the years, ownership has changed hands multiple times, but they have always managed to preserve their traditions. One such legacy is the use of a ‘worm-tub’ condenser, which contributes to a fuller, more robust character compared to other Speysides. During maturation, the whisky is aged in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, enriching it with fruity, honeyed, vanilla and subtly oaky notes. The flavours often highlight green apple and citrus, creating a pleasant balance with the medium body and slightly sweet finish.
