This special rum was created for the 20th anniversary of Alexandre Gabriel as Master Blender. Plantation products go through a double ageing process. The first phase happens locally in Barbados, where the rums can be aged even for 12-20 years in bourbon casks. These casks are later shipped to the Ferrnad estate, where they are aged for another 2-10 years in cognac barrels. The outcome is a truly round and creamy rum with intense vanilla, chocolate and roast hazelnut aromas, then a restrained, sweetish character on the palate with cinnamon-ginger biscuits and rum chocolate.
