The name of Berry Bros. & Rudd may sound familiar to many, as it’s London's oldest wine and spirits merchant, which originally sold coffee since 1698. This was later replaced by spirits and wine, and from the reign of King Edward VII on, it became supplier to the Royal Family and the Princess of Wales. It also created the world's first such gin to win the title of the best in the world and the triple crown four times. Finding the perfect recipe took two years and it consists of a total of six ingredients: Italian juniper berries, Spanish orange and grapefruit peel, angelica root, Moroccan coriander and cardamom. The name No.3 refers to the company's address at 3 St. James' Street, and the key on the bottle symbolizes the key to its door. A floral aroma with fresh juniper on the nose, then the palate follows this, complemented by cardamom, citrus and the spiciness of coriander.
