The cornerstone of the new range is Kaiken Indómito. ‘Indómito’ means unbridled and restless, and with these wines the intention is to convey the message of Malbec to the younger generations. It is intense, easy-going, modern and approachable for everyone. The hand-picked and hand-sorted grapes come from the limestone, sandy-soil plots located at an altitude of 1,200 metres in the Altamira Valley and the Uco Valley. The grapes were cold soaked in the cellar, and fermentation was followed by further skin contact in concrete tanks.
The 10 months of ageing was followed by an additional 4 months of bottle maturation. It has an intense purplish colour, strawberry and floral aromas with violets on the nose, then a sweet, round palate with dark berries.
Chilean success in Argentina. The pioneer of Chilean quality winemaking, Viña Montes, started its Kaiken winery in neighbouring Argentina based on Malbec. Today, they work on three estates within the Mendoza wine region, their vineyards lie in the best regions, their wines focus on terroir.
