A warmer and less steep plot than the Neckenmarkt. A volcanic plateau, sandy-clayish loam soil, volcanic subsoil. 80-100-year-old vines. It was aged in five hectolitre barrels for 20 months. Unfiltered and unfined. Floral, earthy aromas, a bit of chocolate. A deep and layered wine with caressing tannins on the palate. Incredible richness of aromas on the palate: sour cherry, blueberry, blackberry, cherry and nice barrels notes. A very elegant wine.
