Lackner-Tinnacher, an old Styrian family winery, stands between vertical hillsides, bright green rows and old vines. Almost 250 years of experience and local knowledge are concentrated in the hands of the calm winemaker Katharina Tinnacher, who works the way her father did: away from fashion trends, in a pure, elegant and timeless style. Besides their memorable Sauvignon Blancs, we’ve brought in the estate’s pristinely pure Welschriesling (Olaszrizling in Hungarian) for the third consecutive year. The pure must that was pressed from the perfect bunches was spontaneously fermented, then aged in an old, 10-hectolitre barrel for eight months. Stone fruits, apricot, subtle salinity and a cool finish.
