The iconic Montes winery's Alpha series Chardonnay comes from the Aconcagua Valley, from coastal plots, to maintain good acidity. The nose is pronounced, with tropical fruits, pineapple, banana and ripe mango. Broad on the palate, with peaches, grapefruit, subtle buttery notes and vanilla. A small portion of the wine spends a year in French barrels. Creamy, long and elegant.
