A family estate located in the southern, Rhône-adjacent end of the region. Pierre-Marie took over the winery from his father at the age of 22 and began bottling the Gamay, which had previously been known only as wine sold in bulk, at the first opportunity. He harvests from granite soils and old vines, and the nouveau is bottled after five days of spontaneous fermentation and a few weeks of ageing, with minimal sulphur content. The new vintage has a dense core and a vinous character. Thirst-quenching yet light, with a dark colour, a structured and fleshy palate, and ripe black and red berry flavours. An exceptionally good vin de primeur.
