The second wine of Château Angélus, Carillon d’Angélus, has always been a reflection of the estate’s elegance and precision. The 2016 vintage further strengthens this: it is characterized by a refined structure, fine-grained tannins and vibrant fruitiness. The Cabernet Franc and Merlot blend together in a masterful ratio, revealing notes of black cherry, plum and subtle spices in the glass. The palate is silky yet dynamic, with hints of restrained barrel spices and elegant chocolate in the background. The wine already gives a great experience, but it has enough depth to make it worth waiting for a few more years.
