Figeac has always travelled down its own path, and in 2018, it also stayed true to itself: one of Saint-Émilion’s most elegant and exciting wines was born this year. The relatively high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon gives it a deep structure and a character suitable for long ageing. In the glass, notes of blackcurrant, graphite and subtle spices unfold, while the palate is full-bodied, complex and incredibly precise. The tannins are silky and the use of oak is polished and restrained. A truly grand wine that can evolve in the bottle for decades.
