Stock information

90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc from the first-class clay, gravel soil of Pomerol’s plateau. It has a deep ruby colour, intense, fresh and layered aromas of black and red berries, leather, chocolate and violets. A medium-bodied, meaty and dense palate, and alongside the taut structure, there’s lots of ripe fruits, a little vanilla and sweet spices on the finish.

Chateau Gazin

Gazin is a 26-hectare, family-run estate in Bordeaux’s Pomerol appellation. Even though it’s unclassified, as are all wineries in Pomerol, it has been highly regarded since the 1840s. The estate became the property of the Bailliencourt dit Courcol family in 1918, who remain the owners to date. This Right Bank estate is located on the renowned clay-gravel plateau of Pomerol with the division of grapes: 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. The grapes are fermented in small cement vats, then the wine is aged for 18 months in (50% new) oak barrels.
