Intense sour cherry and blackcurrant aromas with barrel notes and gentle smokiness in the background. It has fuller body than the previous vintage, with round tannins, lovely acidity and a concentrated palate. On tasting it, cherry, blackberry and vanilla appear, followed by a layered finish. It was aged for 18 months in French barrels, 60% in new oak. (84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot).
