One of the most highly esteemed wineries in both Burgundy and in the world of fine wine. Among the first in the region to begin bottling their own wines, the founder, Armand Rousseau, acquired some of the finest vineyard sites in the villages of Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis. Today, the winery cultivates 15.3 hectares, of which 8.5 hectares are classified as Grand Cru.
Of the two Rousseau Grand Crus, this is the lighter and more subtly textured. Infinitely long, layered, spicy and floral. An incredible wine that will likely reach its peak after nearly a decade of ageing.
