Still one of the best-value wines in the de Montille range – officially classified as a regional-level Bourgogne Blanc, yet in a blind tasting it could easily pass for one of the sought-after Premier Cru wines from Puligny-Montrachet. The five-hectare, walled parcel is, in fact, the garden of the family-owned Château de Puligny-Montrachet. Owing to its proximity, it inevitably receives an extra measure of care and attention. The vines are cultivated biodynamically, producing minimal yields.
After careful selection and picking, the grapes are whole-bunch pressed in the cellar, followed by fermentation and ageing in barrels. The proportion of new oak is minimal.
The wines of the 2022 vintage exude confidence. After the challenging 2021 season, it rewarded growers both in terms of quantity and quality. With its intense flavours, it offers plenty to those who are just discovering the wine region, while its complexity can also captivate seasoned Burgundy enthusiasts. A true crowd favourite.

This is the family estate next to village of Pommard with its Grand Cru and 1er Cru plots growing biodynamically cultivated grapes. It comprises 16 hectares planted mostly with Pinot Noir in 20 small parcels that are located far away from each other. The biggest is hardly one and a half hectares and the smallest is so small that Etienne points at it on the map hanging on the wall with his little finger. The place of our tasting is modest and simple. Next to the little tables, a retired American couple spends a small fortune on the wines of the house. From the six different wines, we managed to bring a case of each to Hungary: from the locally much-appreciated 2008 and the more widely appealing 2009 vintages.
