Staying within the Volnay style, the slender and ethereal expression of Pinot Noir, Taillepieds, represents the more powerful end of the Angerville range. Tasted after Caillerets, it feels almost more tightly wound, as if several years younger – all purity, strength and structure. Taillepieds (pronounced ‘tie-pyé’) is a striking 1.07-hectare vineyard located on the crest of the hill in Volnay.

The 2022 vintage exudes confidence. It is rich in quantity, quality, flavour and complexity. In Volnay, the village’s textbook, slender style also shines through.
