A very small batch of just a few barrels, from a total of 0.2 hectares, with vines planted in 1964. Stylistically, a versatile Gevrey-Chambertin village, where everything can be found from the very angular, mineral and compact wines to the slender, translucent, ethereal Pinot Noirs. Furthermore, it is also one of the most highly regarded Pinot Noir terroirs in the entire wine region. Thibault's plot here has thick, clay-rich soil, which results in exceptionally rich base material. This is precisely why they use more whole bunches than usual during fermentation, bringing coolness, freshness and extra aromatic complexity to the wine.
