As the nephew of Marcel Lapierre, Philippe Pacalet socialized alongside one of the biggest names in natural wine. For many years, he made the wines of the similarly important Prieuré Roch estate, then in 2007, he launched his own winery in Beaune. Chambolle Musigny is one of the nicest villages of the northern part of Côte-d’Or. It’s known for its softer-coloured wines with more delicate structure, vibrant acidity and easy drinkability. There is more limestone than clay in the soil here, more tiny details in the wines, the nose is floral and the palate is fruitier. The blend of three ‘climats’: Les Gruenchers, Chabiots and Les Feulleosets.
