This is the wine that wrote Mas de Daumas Gassac into the great book of French wine. A blend from beautiful vineyards, with unique varieties, surprising proportions, and an inimitable character. In 2023, alongside 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11 additional varieties are included (Tannat, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Montepulciano, Carmenère, Saperavi, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Nielluccio). Organically farmed fruit from 40+ year-old vines undergoes extended maceration and skin fermentation, followed by one year of aging in used French oak barrels. Unfiltered bottling. Herbal notes, spices and garrigue lead the nose; the palate is fleshy, with fine, powdery tannins and countless additional layers.
A drought vintage, resulting in a dense-textured wine, composed from harvests between August 31 and September 13.

Even bats play a role in the environmental cultivation on the slopes of the Villeveyrac Valley, which overlook the Mediterranean in Languedoc. Red wines are made from the plots with clay-limestone soils, while whites and rosés come from the shores of the Thau Lagoon.
