The smoky aroma of the wines of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation is what sets them apart from their left-bank counterpart. The grapes are harvested by hand from limestone- and flint-rich soils on the right bank of the Loire, carefully selected and gently pressed. Each site ferments and matures separately in tank. It is generally said that, of the two classic Sauvignon Blanc regions, this is where the wines are leaner, more flinty and more masculine, with more restrained fruit character.
Fine acidity, long-lasting stony flavours, a broad yet elegant palate and leesy character.

Pascal Jolivet, ambassador of Sauvignon Blanc and its homeland, the Loire Valley, has put everything into the variety via the two classic places of growth – the terroir of the milder and mineral Sancerre and the flinty and lean, ‘gunpowder’ Pouilly-Fumé. He has built on their success with Attitude, from Touraine.
