Although it’s the world’s most famous rosé, there’s nothing ostentatious about it. It’s a particularly elegant, well-structured and balanced wine that’s rich in subtle details. The aromas of orange and lime peel appear on the nose with forest strawberries, rose petals and rosemary. The palate is relatively full and creamy with red berry fruits and sweet spices. Lively acidity and a completely dry finish, with a grapefruity sourness. It's hard to stop after one glass.
Sacha Lichine came up with the idea of creating the world’s most expensive rosés. The experiment that started in 2006 became a success story, just in the way they had planned the Provence estate. Instead of the top rosé Garrus, the lower positioned Whispering Angel became the favourite of the rich and the beautiful.
