A huge classic among Provençal rosés, and one that is worth tasting for almost anyone, whether they are just getting acquainted with the style, or already know exactly what they are looking for. Méditerranée is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan, but the grape varieties are not the point – the overall impression is what matters. Aromas of grapefruit and nectarine, minerality and citrus. On the palate, lively acidity, subtly depicted strawberry and raspberry notes, mandarin peel and on the finish a cool, vibrant minerality brings it all to a close. Taut, refreshing, and extremely drinkable – exactly what you expect from a Provençal rosé. It doesn’t try to appear more than it is, and that’s precisely what makes it perfectly balanced and appropriate.
