A precise and focused Mosel Riesling from the southeast-facing Nonnengarten vineyard's red slate soils. The early morning sun ensures perfect ripening of the grapes, while the late afternoon's cooler, shady hours encourage linear, vibrant acidity. Biodynamic viticulture, whole-bunch fermentation and ageing in old large barrels contribute to its aromas of ripe stone fruits, orange peel and kumquat. Ripe white peach on the palate, with a characteristic spiciness from the red slate soil on the finish.
Clemens Busch’s Mosel winery lies on one side of the river, with the vineyards on the other. The grapes picked from the almost vertical slate hillside are taken to the winery by ferry. Cultivation is biodynamic, fermentation is spontaneous, ageing is in old oval barrels: dry wines and some sweets are created here.
