A Mosel classic that shows just how much an entry-level wine can offer in this category. The grapes come from slate-based vineyards around Brauneberg. Fermentation is spontaneous, carried out partly in large wooden vats and partly in stainless steel tanks – the goal is purity and balance.
On the nose, freshness dominates: citrus, lime, peach and subtle floral notes, all accompanied by a restrained, slate-driven minerality. The palate is lively, with vibrant acidity, then gently rounded out on the finish by a touch of residual sugar. It feels light, yet remains well-balanced and rich in detail – an exceptionally well-crafted Riesling from the Mosel.

One of the most important family estates of the Mosel region, from Brauneberg, with a 400-year-old history. The winery’s Riesling grapes grow on extremely steep slopes, among others, in the famous Juffer vineyard, on slate soil. The grapes are turned into wines in a unique, pure style by the team of Oliver Haag.
