Single-vineyard Riesling from the Gaisböhl vineyard, which has had a monopoly status since 1597, with gravelly-sandstone subsoil. Biodynamic viticulture, hand-selected harvest, spontaneous fermentation mainly in old large barrels with a quarter in steel tanks, to preserve the variety’s vibrant acidity. Aromas of hay and herbs, flavours of white-fleshed peach and citrus fruit, with subtle salinity on the finish.

One of Germany’s largest family wineries and biodynamically cultivated estates. They have 86 hectares and instead of growing further, they’re cutting down in order to improve the biodynamic growing. Beside the dry Rieslings, they are known for their sweet wines. They classify their vineyards based in a Burgundian way.
