It’s the second vintage of Bürklin-Wolf’s popular Kabinett to make it onto the shelves of Bortársaság. It was named after one of the founders, to whom the winery owes a lot, thus commemorating the exceptionally talented Luise Wolf. The vineyard is located on the edge of the high, cooler-climate Palatinate Forest, on the border of the village of Wachenheim. After the harvest, fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, which was later followed by a short maturation also in stainless steel tanks and large barrels. Pure white-fleshed peach and apple on the nose, accompanied by some citrus and petrol. The palate has more intense fruitiness, which is nicely balanced by the vibrant, almost sparkling acidity.
One of Germany’s largest family wineries and biodynamically cultivated estates. They have 86 hectares and instead of growing further, they’re cutting down in order to improve the biodynamic growing. Beside the dry Rieslings, they are known for their sweet wines. They classify their vineyards based in a Burgundian way.
